Sehr interessante Lage, direkt auf dem Berg, neben einer Kirche. Sicher mal wieder einen Besuch bei Tageslicht wert - ich komme gerne wieder und vor allem, wenn ich meine vergessenen Kosmetikartikel dann von Herrn Grünberger ausgehändigt bekomme... :-))

Breathtaking view, cozy room, delicious breakfast

The rooms are very clean, newly furnished and spacious. We enjoyed our brief stay a lot, especially the great view over the Alps and the delicious breakfast. We will try to go there again for a longer vacation, and to sample wine from the region.

Hard climb up the hill but worth it

High above the River Danube and after a long cycle ride it's quite a good climb, but the quality of the accommodation is out of this world with views to make it all worth while, only criticism would be the room's are a bit to warn without being able to cool down

Fantastisk udsigt.

Dejligt Gasthof med fantastisk panoramaudsigt. Gasthof ligger nabo til kirken, men den høres ikke, når vinduerne er lukkede og heller ikke specielt højt, når vinduerne er åbne. Vi savnede air condition, da vi var der i en periode med høje temperaturer og det var problematisk med åbne vinduer om aftenen/nat pga. myg. Dejlig restaurant.

Nice view of the countryside

We drove from Vienna on the Austrian romantic route. This hotel is located off the main route, in a countryside area, away from any town. The nearest town is Armitten which is about 10km away. The guesthouse offered a nice spacious room with bathroom. It's clean and tidy. Our room was no 13 with a balcony overlooking the beautiful countryside and the church. The hotel has a restaurant and breakfast was nice with the usual cold meat cheese. It's not a big buffet spread but more individual servings. From the hotel you can walk over the hill to see the river Danube (I think..). Only drawback is the distance from the nearest town (hence you'll need your car) and the poor ventilation in the room. It was very stuffy with distinct smell of smoking despite being a non smoking room. However the landlord is very friendly and parking is free.

Nice place to stay for the night.

It was a very pleasant stay. The people that own the hotel are very friendly. The view from our room was wonderful. Plenty of room to park our car. We would be happy to stay here again.

Simples Hotel mit grandioser Aussicht

Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist sehr einfach, zum Teil auch schon sehr, sehr alt. Leider wurde die Heizung nachts ausgeschaltet, wodurch es in der frischen Nacht doch sehr kühl wurde. Das Frühstück hat dagegen alles wieder wett gemacht, das war wirklich klasse!

Great Hotel on the top of a hill

The hotel is neatly positioned 10min drive away from Amstetten and the highway. It's located on the top of a hill, and offers a great view at the Alps. Rooms are clean and comfortable, though some have a bit older furniture. Service is great and people very friendly. Breakfast very good. There's also a nice pub downstairs for an evening drink.
