"Good hotel for a quick stay at a reasonable price. I should have paid more attention to the note that this is a pet friendly hotel, as I had a dog barking across the hall from me for three hours straight that evening. This is not the hotel's fault by any means, but keep this in mind as there may be noise. Aside from that, the hotel is clean and staff is friendly."

"The Vanguard in Ann Arbor went beyond my expectations! The room, lobby, restaurant and staff were exceptional! Our daughter was a student at U of M and we have stayed at many of the on-campus hotels throughout the years. The Vanguard is in a class of its own! I can't wait to stay there again!!! "Rooms were fine if not a little old. We had an interior room that in March with it cool outside was impossible to cool off. Halls and stairs were much cooler and yet with our AC on high, we were still too hot. Asked twice for someone to come fix it and never got a response or repair. Just OK and then never any action."

"Had bed bugs. Left the property as soon as they were found, now they’re not cooperating with refunding my money. Absolutely ridiculous, would stay ANYWHERE else. Personally will bring my tent next time as it is much nicer"
