"Very disappointed with my recent Hilton stay. I booked and paid for a deluxe room, but when I checked in around 11:30 PM after a long day of travel, I was given a shabby basic room instead. The room was poorly maintained, and the bathroom was extremely dirty with yellow stains on shower curtains and broken shower curtains … clearly not cleaned properly. What upset me most was that nobody informed me that I wasn’t getting the room I had booked. When i saw the room, I went back and questioned about the room if they are sure I was given the correct room which I knew it wasn’t, I was told the hotel was fully booked and I could possibly get the correct room the next morning. However, after I went back again in 10 min after checking the bathroom and explained that the room condition was unacceptable and not willing to spend the night in this room , the response I got was “ okay I think I just got the perfect room for you” which was the exact deluxe room I had originally booked. We had to move all our luggage again at midnight while completely exhausted. The fact that the correct room became available within minutes made it obvious it was likely available from the start. The second room was better but the bathroom cleanliness was still disappointing. I’ve stayed at Hilton many times before, but this was by far my worst experience. Poor customer service, lack of transparency, and poor cleanliness standards. Unfortunately, this stay has made me reconsider staying at Hilton again."
