Smelled like cigarettes and dogs mixed. Has bed bugs. We found a bug in the bed and were bitten

All of the staff were great. Very nice and friendly. The room was ok. There were a few stains on the bedding and floor...bathroom was clean

No smoke detectors in room-safety issue.

First time in Louisiana. Beautiful state, great people! Upon check in, we went up to our room, and immediately noticed the smell of marijuana from the guests a couple of rooms down. Not the Hotels fault, but if this is an issue in the future, I would definitely request a different room, on a different floor. Upon entering our room I noticed that the smoke detectors were gone/missing. I had a smoking room. I also noticed that some pictures were missing. (You could see the outline where they were.) At checkout I made the clerk write on my receipt these issues, so I wouldn't be charged for them. Overall, I had a pleasant stay, and the Hotel is conveniently located not far from the expressway. Great price as well.

Comfy bed

The bed was really comfortable, I would love to have a mattress just as comfortable. The room was clean also, but the bathroom could have used more cleaning. The door had something on it that looked like food and the tub and floor was not clean either. I bought cleaning products and cleaned the bathroom myself. The lobby smelled smoky because people stand right at the front door and smoke and the hall downstairs smelled a bit mildewy...

Nice hotel very close to the I-55.

Hotel conveniently located near restaurants and recreational activities. The staff was very helpful. The room was clean and well-kept. The A/C unit was loud and setting the temperature was challenging. The TV remote had to be replaced and the pictures on the TV were not clear, they definite were not High Definition. Overall stay was good. Don

Amite Oyster Fest

Love the staff, cleanliness, location. Much of this hotel has recently been updated. This is year 11 (consecutively) we've stayed in this hotel for this event. They literally treat us like family. The problem I have is...this is the first (and LAST) time I'll book this hotel through this web site! Learned on arrival that on-line booking DOES NOT ALLOW for lower rates. I'm a senior citizen and retired military...neither rate was available through your booking on line.

Was a nice place with friendly staff.

Breakfast was just OK nothing fancy. Would stay there again. Clean room with above average bed and pillows. Not like some places Ive stayed where the pillows are soft bags of foam and when you pile 4 pillows on top of each other they feel like your sleeping on one. I forgot my own pillows once and didn't sleep the whole night. Comfort Inn you earn a 5 for that alone.
