Birthday weekend away

Lovely stay at the hive. Easy check in and out. Room was clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast and delicious evening meal at Poppi red.

Fabulous Stay

Gorgeous Hotel centrally located in the village of Hawkshead, room had all the facilities, key pad entry so no keys to carry Bottles of water by the bedside and even my favourite Costa Coffee pods for the coffee maker Beautiful restaurant/cafe downstairs. Breakfast was included in my stay and was one of the best I’ve had Staff were very helpful and very nice Really can’t fault it and would definitely stay again

No parking outside the property so a £9 extra in a car park 200 yards away, after struggling with bags and a dog with no help by the staff behind reception as he was too busy on his phone on a call, got to my room and the only shelf in the small room was broken, the maintenance guy came and said it's been broken for ages, not good all this at the start of a new season, the room was cold as the small radiator didn't warm it...the following morning the girls manning reception were both spot on plus the breakfast food and coffee was delicious.

A lovely place to stay. Right in the centre of the village. Lovely comfortable room with everything we needed. Breakfast was one of the best we have had!! We can’t wait to come and stay again.

Can't praise the staff enough, helpful, friendly, accomodating, and the room was lovely. We both had the full English breakfast which was superbly cooked and high quality, and check in was easy and convenient. The only downside was that the mattress was just too firm for both myself and my wife which lead to a quite uncomfortable nights sleep, the staff kindly offered to switch rooms however they all have the same mattress on the beds so this wouldn't have improved the situation, and we decided to leave a night early due to this. I fully appreciate that a mattress firmness is very much a personal preference so depending on the individual it may or may not be a concern, but I do think it's something to be aware of, as a comfortable nights sleep is the primary reason for staying somewhere and sadly we couldn't acheive this. This was the only downside to an otherwise excellent accomodation which I'd happily recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Had a great stay! Beautiful room and en-suite, really good condition and very clean. Perfect location for exploring the Lakes with a few nice food options locally too. Easy self check in and out

A little gem to visit

Little mix up on the bed numbers, but can't blame the hotel as we booked through Hotel.com. Beautiful room, exceptionally clean, the most divine little touches. Fantastic breakfast and great communication from the manager, who allowed us to rescue the bed situation. I would recommend this hotel, set in beautiful surroundings.

To start off, I didn’t get a code to get into the property, couldn’t get into the room So trying numerous times to get in contact with owners was impossible and even hotel.com couldn’t get in contact We set off to the property to see if we could speak to anybody, and we spoke to a woman who managed to get the codes for us Great room, great bath Just to service was terrible and the staff wasn’t that helpful
