Great hotel- would stay here again. 30 minutes from Little Sahara. Multiple other rigs besides ours parked on property, so plenty of room. Clean room, good breakfast, nice staff. Pool was closed while we were there which was a bummer for our kid but not a deal breaker for us.

Middle of summer the pool was not available upon my arrival but supposedly it was up and good when i booked ..2 nights was the most horrible sleep the bed was super uncomfortable and hurt my wifes and my back tossed and tured for most of the night

This is the best hotel for the small town of Alva. We always stay here for my sons football games. The mattresses could use a little work. They aren’t the most comfortable. The hotel is really clean and the employees are super nice and always ready to help. I give it a 8.5 out of 10. You always need improvements.

AC/ fan unit did not work in our first room but we received quick staff attention & a new room. Bed was decent, room was clean & large. No USB plugs which, this day in age, was surprising. Walls were thin & could hear the neighbors talking & banging around well past midnight. Breakfast included eggs & real bacon. The sausage was questionable. There’s never much a gluten free person can enjoy at hotel breakfasts so this was a nice surprise.

Housekeeping service didn’t leave coffee, or replace our empty tissue box. The bed wasn’t straightened up. Actually, we couldn’t tell that housekeeping had been in our room except that our dirty towels were exchanged. Attention to detail was lacking, but the housekeeper left an envelope asking for a tip. Check in and out was fine, with pleasant & efficient service. Other than the disappointing service from housekeeping, the property was more than adequate for a weekend stay to attend our niece’s wedding.

The entire 3rd floor had a mildew smell. I had family staying in another room on the same floor and they said the same. Our room smelled like old sweaty gym socks. The water in both tub and sink in the bathroom was very slow to drain. The AC did not work well. Its wall thermostat didn't work at all. I had to use the panel on the window unit. Then it would come on for 30 seconds and be off for 2 minutes. I honestly timed it through the night because it kept me awake some. I did feel the bed was clean and bath clean. Breakfast was only fair. I won't stay here again.

Frustrating but decent

When we checked in, we were told our stay had been paid for through Experian. We informed them that it had not, and we wanted to pay with cash. They disagreed. Two days later, they charged my card for the amount. I was 7 hours away from home, and lucky I had enough in the bank to cover it. There were never enough towels in our room and our key cards never worked. Every night we had to get them reprogrammed because they didn’t work. The elevator did not work (no signage) so we had to take three flights of stairs. The next morning it didn’t either and we had to bring all of our luggage down. This is our second time to stay here, and I believe it will be our last. They do have decent breakfast, clean rooms, and great water pressure, though!
