For a 5 star hotel (and 5 star hotel prices), the food is appalling. The local spar close to the hotel sells tastier food, which says it all. Almost all of the breakfast items at the hotel have no taste, there is limited selection, and instant coffee - in France! The pool is cold, almost unbearably so, in the middle of summer. On the positive side, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is clean, well serviced, and has otherwise good facilities (the process for getting towels and umbrellas is a bit convoluted, and the hotel has somehow managed to make the use of the poolside beds unnecessarily complicated). The hotel is also ideally located, for the airport, beach and a couple of nice restaurants - particularly La Ferme. The breakfast is a big negative, though - it leaves a poor impression.

Very nice rooms , but you can hear thru the door what happens on the corridor. Beach is publicon the other side of the road. No beach beds on beach. No private beach, no beach bars in the area. Swimming pool small considering size of the hotel. Nice cheese for breakfast, limited vegetables.

Nice hotel with beautiful sunsets

Room is nice, and balcony with sea view is beautiful. The sunset over Ajaccio Bay every night is great. Upgrading to a sea view is highly recommended, as the standard view/hill view rooms are only overlooking the parking lot and is mainly in the shadow all day. Pool area is also nice, with a short distance to the beach. The area is quiet in the evening, but there are some restaurants in the area. Agnarellu restaurant which is 15-20 mins walk down the beach is really recommended. If you want more party vibes, Porticcio has some cool restaurants/bars. There are some minuses: - The level of English of the employees is not good, which is representative for Corsica in general - The AC in the room is not great. The reception claimed it was because of the sun shining on the windows all day, but even though we set it to 16 degrees celsius, it only got a bit chiller, even during the night. - The fridge in the room was small and not working properly. We notified the hotel about it the first night, and they said they would send someone to fix it. Nobody came. - There are very few taxis in the area, so all taxis must be pre booked, which is a bit annoying if you really dont know when you want to get back to the hotel.

Do not recommend!

Rude and unfriendly staff except for the nice gentleman working night shifts during our stay. They force you to make a deposit of 100€ per night even though the stay is payed in its full in advance. This was not informed anywhere in the booking so we were quite shocked. It would be fine with a credit card for them to hold but reserving 100€ per night on the card is not okay and has never happened to us before. There was dirty dishes, empty bottles and socks floating around in the hallways every time we walked through. There was also spiderwebs in the ceiling of our room which we asked them to remove before cleaning but nothing happened until we told them again 16 hours later. We also asked for two twin beds one month in advance but got a double bed. They placed to women on the first floor so there was not safe to have the balcony door open during the night. They have a really disgusting and dirty water pond you have to walk through in and out of the pool area. They also have a “rule” that it’s not allowed to reserve sunbeds at the pool but over half of the chairs had towels on them and no one used them and the hotel didn’t do anything about it so getting a sun bed after the pool opening was nearly impossible. In general not a pleasant stay and we will not be coming back to this hotel. And as a footnote - they can’t give you a confirmation or any proof that you will get your deposit back you simply have to trust them…… still haven’t gotten back our deposit

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in der Nebensaison. Hotel in traumhafter Lage, die Zimmer mit Meerblick lohnen sich wirklich sehr. Auch der Pool ist super. Zimmer groß und hell, gut ausgestattet. Freundliches Personal und Service (wir hatten ein Twin-Zimmer gebucht, bei Ankunft war ein Doppelbett vorbereitet, wurde schnell und problemlos geändert). Bar und Restaurant sind zu empfehlen und die Halbpension war ein Pluspunkt bei der Buchung. Einzig beim Frühstücksbuffet hätten wir uns für ein Viersternehotel etwas mehr Variation und Qualität gewüncht, z.B. frische Tomaten und Gurken sowie eine etwas bessere Qualität beim Obst (es gab Fertig-Obstsalat und einen Obstkorb). In der Nebensaison gute Parkmöglichkeit auf öffentlichen Parkplätzen vor dem Hotel.

Nous aurions aimé avoir du pain sans gluten au petit déjeuner. Et une possibilité de navette pour le ponton de Porticcio. Eau de la piscine trop froide pour se baigner. Si non tout était bien.
