"Lobby has interseting, creative 3-D art displays, board games, full service bar with stools, lounging area, restaurant (see website for times open and menu), friendly staff, free luggage hold if arriving before your check in time or after checkout so you can explore the area. During the summer months, the outdoor rooftop pool and Hedy's bar & lounge area are open for guests (call ahead to find exact dates and times) and is also available to the public. I highly recommend calling in advance for reservations fot non-registered guests. Direct views are facing north (Thomas Circle and beyond) and mostly west and east. My 10th-floor room was around the corner at the end of the hall and had a large south-facing window with plenty of morning/afternoon sun that shone on the chair . The views were split between the city (above nearby buildings) looking SE, though looking SW, I could partially see inside windows of least a dozen hotel rooms located around the corner. The comfy queen size bed with soft sheets had plenty of pillows, soft pink lighting behind the bedframe (which had 2 bendable reading lamps attached on either side in addition the two table lamps on the nightstands). "I got in late and I appreciated there was someone at the door to help me. I checked in fast and was given an impecable room on a top floor away from noise. Loved my room 603. My experience was accentuated by the kind and cheerful staff there, I spoke to 3 of the lobby people during my stay. I even bought the bath robe, a souvenir from one of the most memorable experiences during my hectic work travels. The bar has been raised :) thank you"
