During the summer months, the outdoor rooftop pool and Hedy's bar & lounge area are open for guests (call ahead to find exact dates and times) and is also available to the public. I highly recommend calling in advance for reservations fot non-registered guests. Direct views are facing north (Thomas Circle and beyond) and mostly west and east.
My 10th-floor room was around the corner at the end of the hall and had a large south-facing window with plenty of morning/afternoon sun that shone on the chair . The views were split between the city (above nearby buildings) looking SE, though looking SW, I could partially see inside windows of least a dozen hotel rooms located around the corner.
The comfy queen size bed with soft sheets had plenty of pillows, soft pink lighting behind the bedframe (which had 2 bendable reading lamps attached on either side in addition the two table lamps on the nightstands).
