Safari retreat

We arrived rather late after a long drive from Cape Town, and were dismayed to find that the buzz boxes weren’t working. Thankfully we followed in a truck and they could hear the honk at the closer gate. The receptionist was very nice. The lodge that we stayed in was spacious but the floors were dirty and the bathtub needed to be run a while to get past the dirt in the pipes. Be aware that they don’t have dinner options, regardless of the first picture, and town is about 15 min away and restaurants close early. We ended up with road snacks for dinner. Breakfast was good and filling with a great view of the giraffes. Wish I would have sent a message to the hotel about our arrival and food options ahead of time.

Very nice accommodation on a farm near Addo Park. Nice rooms with veranda and outdoor shower. Wonderful well-kept garden with views over the surrounding hills. Pleasently quiet. There are a couple of good restaurants nearby for dinner. Breakfast all good. Very nice host who tried very hard to make our stay pleasant. Thank you, we would book there again at any time.

Mooie accommodatie, slechte wegen

Mooie cottage gunstig gelegen tov Addo Elephant Park. Toegangsweg met ‘gewone’ auto uitdagend bijna 5 km over onverhard met gaten en keien. Uitzicht adembenemend, lieve honden op het terrein maar daar moet je van houden natuurlijk! Spullen wat verouderd maar alles aanwezig.

Wont be back.

Rooms nicely air conditioned and clean . Pool and grounds well kept. Found pool area lounges needing upgrade..very uncomfortable. Meals very mediocre... and dinner overpriced for what was served. Cleaning staff exceptionally friendly. Owners - we've had better! Some soft background music could be nice in lapa...to create some much needed ambience

Superschöner Ort mitten in der Natur

Total in der Natur draussen, von weitem sah man Giraffen Der weg dorthin ist nur über eine 6 Km lange Gravelroad erreichbar. Wegbeschreibung von Hotels.com könnte besser sein.

Lovely get-a-away

It's out the way, but close enough. It's on aches of land, yet an oasis. It's peaceful yet close to wilderness. This GH is lovely, well maintained and wonderful facilities. Highly recommended for a few days away

Etwas abseits gelegenes Guest House

Leider waren wir etwas enttäuscht, das Guest House liegt doch sehr abseits und man muss immer mindestens 15 Minuten fahren um essen zu gehen oder Einkäufe zu erledigen. Auch wurde nicht sehr gründlich gereinigt im Zimmer und Pool. Sehr gut war die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals, auch der kleine Spielplatz war top und die vielen Tiere machten ein Bauernhof Gefühl.

Sehr zu empfehlen.

Für die etwas mühsame (aber gut ausgeschilderte) Anfahrt wird man durch ein traumhaft schönes Anwesen mit bestem Komfort, gutem Design und freundlichem Personal belohnt. Der Ausblick auf ein kleines Tal mit Büffelherde, der parkartige Garten ringsumher - alles malerisch und von gediegenem Charme. Für Leute, die Qualität und eine gewisse Exklusivität ohne Schnickschnack schätzen, dabei auch etwas Abenteuergeist mitbringen, ist Kududu genau das Richtige.

Too far from Addo park

beautiful guest house , very friendly staff, excellent facilities,but too far out from Addo Park, also drive on the gravel road not pleasant at all, especially if one has to get there after dark I would not stay another time because of the location

Super schönes kleines Hotel

2 Nächte in diesem Hotel. Das Personal ist super freundlich. Die Lage des Hotels einmalig. Tolle Aussicht den ganzen Tag. Leider aber auch am Ars.. Der Welt die Unterkunft. Mindestens 4 km zur nächsten geteerten Straße. 15 km bis in den nächsten kleinen Ort. Leider kein Restaurant verfügbar. Frühstück ist super, alles was es zu einem perfekten Start in den Tag braucht

Ruhiges und abseits gelegenes Hotel

Das Kududu-Guesthouse liegt ein wenig abseits und ist über eine 4 km lange Schotterpiste zu erreichen. Die übersandte Anfahrtbeschreibung hat geholfen. Wer Ruhe und Komfort sucht, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Zum nächsten (sehr guten) Restaurant (Africanos) benötigt man gut 20 Minuten, ca. 40 Minuten fährt man zum Addo Elephant Park. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und sehr gut ausgestattet. Das Frühstück in Buffett-Form war gut und ausreichend, es wurde auf Wunsch nachgereicht. Es fehlte uns hier ein wenig der persönliche Kontakt, wie wir es aus anderen B&B kannten. Das Guesthouse hat eher einen Hotelcharakter und können wir vorbehaltlos weiterempfehlen.

Beautiful location, plus luxury

Kukudu is off the beaten track but well work the journey. Welcomed by an avenue of fever trees leading up to the property. Luxury awaits. Very clean and comfortable. Amazing views from our balcony with outdoor shower, there is on inside as well. will recommend to friends.

Prachtige locatie, vriendelijke ontvangst.

Erg leuke locatie, mooi verzorgd guesthouse. Zeer prettige ontvangst, behulpzame gastheer en gastvrouw. Met gastvrouw in eigen jeep over hun landgoed gereden om wild te spotten. Hele familie giraffes gezien, naast de gebruikelijke kudu's, apen en bokken. Heel leuke ervaring.

Great place to stay in South Africa

Super place to stay! Very friendly manager, that help you with lot of information and reservations in nearby game parks. Manager always had time for a friendly talk, very nice. Good rooms, and a great atmosphere in all areas of the hotel. Very good breakfast every morning, every morning some new dishes :-) Outside there is a pool area and a barbeque area for relaxing, very nice. Nice view over the farm, from dining area and from many rooms.
