The room looked nothing like the picture. The were big roaches on the floor, flies in the room and the just so unclean. It looked old and run down. I am not sure what room they are showimg on the website but the room looked just the opposite. I looked like i had not been cleaned. The tub, sink, sitting chair, etc was dirty.
This Location is very run down and dirty. All the buildings around it are abandoned. The door to my room was barely hanging on and a good kick anyone could of come in. The bathe room is in desperate need of updating it wasn't even safe to enter the tub. This motel is way over priced for the room and location. Do not recommend
Had reservations for a nonsmoking room. If the room we got was what they consider nonsmoking they are sadly confused.
IF YOU ARE A NONSMOKER DO NOT STAY HERE.
No hangers for clothing in the room.
Mold around bath tub.
No coffee pot in the room.
Worst Hotel/Motel stay I've ever had. Whatever you do, don't take your kids here. Not safe at all. No door latch only one lock on knob. Floors were disgusting, sheets had stains, we were woke up in the middle of the night (3am) by the people in the room above us... they were "conducting business"... loudly.... (i'll not describe that, you're welcome). It was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but clearly had been smoked in, if you didn't believe the smell, the cigarette burns on the bathtub would clue you in. We will never stay here again, we would literally rather sleep in our car in a safer neighborhood.
Rented three rooms for myself and family with small children, we found drug paraphernalia and roaches in two of the three rooms. Towels and sheets were stained and my non smoking room smelled like smoke. Also requested a handicap accessible room and was told that they did not have any accessible rooms on the property. When I said that we would take a ground floor room instead and make it work they were very reluctant to accommodate. My husband and i have stayed here in the past but the property has seemed to go down hill since then.
Staff was nice but not onsite, bed was comfortable but that's the only good. Room was dirty, extremely noisy, in need of repair, and needed a new door lock.

A place to stay overnight Better then most
It was nice pleasant for the nightThats All Folks
We have nothing more to add Pay me by the
word we will add more
This hotel was fully booked so they sent us to the Whitten Inn. It was terrible. The water in the shower scalded my wife. There were bugs on the floor.
Very good location that with a lot restaurants and shopping spot around. Staff are nice. They found my watch and gave me back. Definitely go back and stay there.
front office staff was very friendly, unfortunately, they were going through renovations. It is an old property and it needs work. I would like to see what it looks like next year. The room I stayed in had now bedside lamp which was strange. I was not able to read a book because it was too dark.

Great rest from the road
The manger was so nice and welcoming. The room was super comfortable and well worth the price if you are looking for a basic room to rest from the road.
Last minute booking on our way to Houston. Nice and rather quiet place considering it is very close to the main road. Good service, no breakfast (or food in immediate area, Walmart and a lot of eating places 10 minutes drive away though).
A/C was broken in room. We got assigned a new room, but people were already in that room and we had to get reassigned another room. Not what you want to go through at 2:00a.m. after driving all day.

Adequate accommodations. I WAS rudely awakened at 5:30 am by This email from hotels.com!
Hint hint
If you're budget conscious like me, then you'll like this hotel. It's right off I-20 near the highway cutoff to Wichita Falls (287?) It appears to be recently taken over by new management so some remodeling may be in progress. I had a clean comfortable room for around $50. (all I REALLY care about) The bathrooms had neat Texas-shaped sinks and the shower/tub was the "old-school" jacuzzi tub that didn't work (The only REAL drawback.)

Not at all like the picture
I knew from other reviews that this was not a particularly nice hotel, but all other hotels in the area were booked for people going to the same commencement ceremony. I am glad it just a single night.
This is the first time in my life that I stay at a hotel that does not have hand soap by the sink, nor a bar of soap in the shower. There was clean bedding and towels, a microwave oven, a small fridge, a flat screen TV with cable, and three beds. No night tables, hence no lamps other than the ceiling lamps, and no place for you to conveniently put your glasses or charge your cellphone overnight.
Not a single chair, and no telephone. Most of us carry cell phones, but for calling the front desk you would expect a standard phone line. None of the other typical details, like a small bucket to fill out with ice, or one or two glasses for rinsing when you brush your teeth.
In other words, a bare room that looks nothing like the one in the picture. The only real plus was that we did not find any bugs in the room, as some others have reported.

overnight hotel
Basic hotel, you get a bed and warm shower plus though is the microwave and refrigerator. No one in the front desk at night you have to call to get somebody.
I read several reviews for lower end ($50 to $70) hotels. This place got better reviews than the pathetic others. This place had to be built in the 60's (guess) and it is very old and out dated. The gentlemen who checked me in was polite. The door's second "lock" (not really a bolt, but thin piece if metal) didn't go into the wall. Didn't work! No door chain, no safety bolt. Just the lock on the door knob and the second "bolt like" lock that DIDN'T work! I asked to move from my original room, just to be given a second room with a nonfunctioning second lock also! 0 for 2.

My first stay
The staff was friendly. The room was bigger than I expected. It was very clean. I liked having a microwave and refrigerator in there. I would stay there next time I'm in Abilene.

DISSAPPOINTED YET SERVICE RECOVERY HONORED!
DISSAPPOINTED: I ASKED FOR HANDICAP, NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE. TOO DESERTED. ROOMS ARE SMALL BUT CLEAN AND NICE. GAME ROOM ON PICTURE VERY HOT AND NOT A GAME ROOM, SAW TWO POOL TABLES. HOTEL MANAGEMENT ON THE SPOT UNDERSTOOD AND CANCELLED OUR BOOKING EVEN THOUGH IT WAS LATE. EXPEDIA CALLED PER SELF AND THEY ALSO REFUNDED US.
