"The room was large, clean and comfortable, with a great view. The staff were lovely and helpful and the breakfast was really good. The hotel itself was nice but would benefit from a freshen up. Some of the decor needed touching up or redecoration."

"The property was easy to find. We were met at the door and were made to feel very welcome. Our hosts discussed the accommodation itself followed by a welcoming brew and a chat regarding the local area, places to eat and our breakfast order for the morning. We were recommended a lovely Italian restaurant in nearby St Boswells which was really nice. The views from our room were beautiful and really peaceful. The room and en-suite were very clean and the perfect size to be fair. Breakfast was really nice with a fruit platter with yogurt, a choice of cereals with a hot breakfast after that. It was all cooked really well. Only 1 minor issue was the creaky bed frame which woke me ( I’m a light sleeper) every time I turned around. The Mrs seemed fine though. Bed aside I would highly recommend to any visitor and we are likely to return in the near future. "
