"Nice new hotel 3* , three years old, modern design , very clean and Japanese minimalist. Onsen on building Breakfast was ok but nothing special Room was new well kept, with kimono in room. Lot of izakaya nearby Price was excellent considering its 50km from Hagi ceramic city. "

"Shin-Yamaguchi is a great place away from the crowds. This hotel is across the street from the station, with several restaurants. We enjoyed several meals at Nick's Steak. I highly recommend it. The breakfast at the hotel was typical Japanese food. Selection was good, and included in the room price. We definitely would stay here again."

"**The positives: *It was an easy stay, with low-stress check-in and check-out, no 'vacate the room so we can clean,' and a vending machine and shelves of manga on the first floor. *I was able to open the window far enough to stick my head out and get a breath of fresh air, which was nice. *The coin laundry machines got the job done: 2.5hrs, 600 yen, clean and dry clothes.👍 **Neutral: *There was construction going on, but aside from a bit of occasional noise during the day, it was a non-factor. **The negatives: *When I arrived, the room had some REALLY dusty spots, like behind the TV and on top of the mini-fridge. As in, 'years and years of accumulated dust.'
