"Turned up after 3 hour drive with wife and 2 young children to be told we didn't have a booking as it wasn't confirmed. Very unprofessional approach from the chef/receptionisy who was rude and said it was our fault and problem. After 30 mins of argument and discussion we were offered a smaller, more expensive room but due to the way they handled us ended up driving another hour and a half to a different city to get a room for the night.
